Co-founder and CEO

Adonis

Akash Magoon is co-founder and chief executive of Adonis, a New York City company that makes revenue cycle software for hospitals and medical groups. A health system uses it so its billing staff can see why claims are denied or underpaid and hand the follow-up work to AI agents.

Growing Up in Baltimore

He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents emigrated from India in the late 1970s and ran small businesses, including used car dealerships and real estate, and he spent summers working in them. They hoped he would become a doctor, and he volunteered at a hospital near home in high school before deciding the work was not for him.

Computer Science at Maryland

He studied computer science at the University of Maryland and graduated in 2018. He then worked as a software engineer at Enigma Technologies.

Building Nayya

In 2019 he co-founded Nayya, which helps employees choose among the benefits their employers offer, and served as its chief technology officer. His brother Aman joined as its first employee.

Founding Adonis

He and Aman left Nayya and founded Adonis in 2022. Working with insurers at Nayya, they had seen how much insurers spent on software to deny claims, and they set out to give providers the same kind of tools. Adonis Intelligence tracks claims across a provider's systems and shows the causes of denials and underpayments, and its AI agents check claim status and prepare appeals.

Its customers include Mount Sinai Health System, Baptist Health South Florida, AdventHealth, and ApolloMD. In March 2026 Adonis raised a $40 million Series C led by Quadrille Capital.
