About & methodology
We write like skeptical buyers: short, concrete, and allergic to vendor adjectives. This page is the contract for how scores work.
Independence
Healthcare Industry Reviews is structured as an independent editorial project. We do not accept payment for rankings, “featured” placement, or score changes. Vendors may fact-check factual claims; they do not edit verdicts.
When we use a product demo or customer reference, we disclose material relationships. Reviews are based on public materials, documented buyer patterns, and category norms — not paid briefings.
Overall score (1–10)
Every full review publishes an Overall score. Sub-scores feed a fixed weight model so a 7.5 in revenue cycle means roughly the same bar as a 7.5 in cybersecurity.
| Weight | Factor | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| 35% | Customer outcomes | Whether buyers get measurable operational or clinical-workflow results after go-live |
| 30% | Product | Capability depth, reliability, and fit for the job the category actually buys |
| 20% | Implementation | How hard it is to stand up, integrate, train, and stabilize |
| 15% | Pricing clarity | Whether a buyer can model total cost without a mystery quote |
Recommend labels
Labels are outlined stamps — not stars, not gold pills.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Highly recommend | Strong outcomes and product with manageable caveats |
| Recommend | Solid fit for the right buyer; know the tradeoffs |
| Conditional | Only with a specific use case or heavy caveats |
| Not recommended | Avoid for most buyers in this category |
What we cover
Software, services, and infrastructure that support providers and health systems — not consumer wellness apps, not pharma brand campaigns. Categories are wayfinding stations, not Gartner Magic Quadrants.
