1. Basalt Health

AI for post-acute admissions

Company
Basalt Health
Why now
Announced a $20 million Series A on September 24, 2026.

Ben Hackett, who spent nearly a decade at Accolade, founded Basalt in 2024. Its AI reads referral packets for rehab and skilled nursing admissions and checks them against clinical and payer rules. At Lifepoint Health, median processing time fell from 8.5 minutes to 1.2 minutes, according to the Series A announcement.

Why now

NEA led the round, and partner Blake Wu sits on the board. Basalt is rolling out to 111 Lifepoint and ScionHealth markets by the end of 2026. Two health systems account for most of its public results, so those rollouts are the test.

15xGrowth since its previous round, per Confido

2. Confido Health

AI agents for practice operations

Company
Confido Health
Why now
Announced a $12.5 million Series A extension on October 14, 2026.

Confido's AI agents answer and place patient calls and handle scheduling, insurance checks, referrals, refills, and payments across more than 50 connected systems. It sells to private equity firms first and then to the specialty practices they own, according to its announcement.

Why now

Z47, formerly Matrix Partners India, led the extension, bringing the Series A to $22.5 million. A customer CFO at Vision Innovation Partners said collections doubled, but Confido's 95% task-completion rate and growth figures are its own.

50+Hospitals using it, up from three a year earlier

3. Healthleap

Inpatient risk detection

Company
Healthleap
Why now
TechCrunch reported $38 million in funding on October 7, 2026.

Siblings Josiah Meyer and Jemima Meyer, from South Africa, built Healthleap to read every adult inpatient chart overnight and flag patients who may have undiagnosed malnutrition, delirium, and other conditions. Customers include Penn Medicine and Cedars-Sinai, according to TechCrunch.

Why now

The funding combined an $8 million seed co-led by Sequoia Capital and First Round Capital and a $30 million Series A led by Hummingbird Ventures. The company says one Penn hospital saw $23.8 million in annualized financial impact from its malnutrition program. That figure is Healthleap's own, and its newer condition programs are still being validated.

$50MAnnual recurring revenue in April 2026, up from $1M two years earlier

4. Heidi Health

AI clinical documentation

Company
Heidi Health
Why now
Announced a $100 million Series C on September 22, 2026.

Heidi, led by co-founder and chief executive Dr. Thomas Kelly, makes an AI scribe and assistant that it says has supported more than 175 million patient visits in 190 countries and 110 languages, up from 73 million at its Series B, according to its announcement.

Why now

Blackbird led the Series C at a $900 million valuation, and General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund added a separate $240 million growth investment for sales and marketing. Heidi plans to move from writing notes to taking supervised actions after visits, which raises the bar for clinical safety.

10xAnnual recurring revenue growth in a year, per Parakeet

5. Parakeet Health

AI patient access

Company
Parakeet Health
Why now
Announced a $10 million Series A on October 1, 2026.

Led by co-founder and chief executive Jung Park, Parakeet handles inbound calls, outreach, fax processing, and online scheduling, and says it serves six of the 10 largest dermatology groups in the U.S., according to its announcement.

Why now

Canvas Ventures led the round, bringing total funding to $13 million. Parakeet grew on little capital, and the round pays for a move into more specialties. It remains small next to better-funded voice AI rivals.

25M+Covered lives supported across 46 states

6. Readily

Regulatory compliance AI

Company
Readily
Why now
Announced an $11 million Series A on October 13, 2026.

Founded by Edward Tiong, a former Microsoft AI scientist, Readily links rule changes to a health plan's policies, tasks, audits, and evidence. Customers include L.A. Care Health Plan, state agencies, and physician groups, according to its announcement.

Why now

Define Ventures led the round, with Y Combinator and the California Health Care Foundation Innovation Fund. Readily is raising as federal penalties on health plans climb, and it says it has cut regulatory analysis and audit work by up to 90%. That figure is its own, and its broader oversight product is not yet on the market.

2.5xGrowth in usage and annual recurring revenue, per Sirona

7. Sirona Medical

Cloud radiology software

Company
Sirona Medical
Why now
Announced a $40 million Series D on October 15, 2026.

Founded by Cameron Andrews in 2018, Sirona makes RadOS, which puts image storage, viewing, reporting, worklists, and AI on one cloud platform. It has more than 12 million imaging exams a year under contract, according to its announcement.

Why now

Avidity Partners led the round, with 8VC, GreatPoint Ventures, KLT Holdings, and Rose Park Advisors. Sirona says the money funds its operating plan indefinitely and plans an international program before the end of 2026. Radiology platforms take months to deploy, so contracted volume will take time to show up as revenue.

450+Healthcare organizations using Suki

8. Suki

Ambient clinical AI

Company
Suki
Why now
Announced a $90 million Series E on October 13, 2026.

Founded by Punit Soni, Suki makes AI for clinical documentation, coding, and clinical reasoning, and more than 30 technology partners build it into their own products. It says revenue doubled in 2025, according to its announcement.

Why now

Healthier Capital led the round, and partner Aman Mahajan joined the board. Suki competes with larger ambient scribe companies, and its plan relies on partners putting its AI in front of more clinicians.

800,000+Clinicians using it, up from a few thousand a year earlier

9. Vera Health

Clinical evidence search

Company
Vera Health
Why now
Announced a $28.5 million Series A on October 27, 2026.

Vera searches more than 60 million papers, guidelines, and drug labels, and color-codes the strength of evidence behind each claim in its answers. It is free for clinicians and reaches users in 190 countries with 12 employees, according to its announcement.

Why now

Threshold Ventures led the round, with co-founder Emily Melton backing it, bringing total funding to $32 million. Vera plans deeper partnerships with medical societies, publishers, and health systems, and its clinical reasoning studies at academic centers are still under way.

10. Vitalize

Workforce and capacity AI

Company

Founded in 2021 by Veeraj Shah and Sanketh Andhavarapu, Vitalize schedules nurses and other staff and matches staffing to bed capacity. It says it manages millions of shifts a week across dozens of health systems, according to the Oak HC/FT announcement.

Why now

Oak HC/FT led the round, and partner Vig Chandramouli called labor a nearly trillion-dollar line item for U.S. health systems. The 54% figure comes from a St. Luke's executive quoted in the announcement, not an independent study.
