Founder and President

Sirona Medical

Cameron Andrews is founder and president of Sirona Medical, a San Francisco company that makes RadOS, a cloud radiology platform. Radiology practices use it to read, report, store, and run AI on images in one browser-based system instead of several separate programs.

Early life

He grew up around private practice radiologists. He studied biology and computer science at Stanford University and did graduate work through Stanford's Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine & Imaging.

Business

He spent three years at Lux Capital, a venture capital firm, evaluating companies that combined AI and medicine. He founded Sirona in 2018 to rebuild radiology software from first principles, and spent five years developing it with design partner practices before RadOS launched publicly in November 2023.

He was chief executive through the company's early funding rounds, including a $22.5 million Series A led by 8VC. "For far too long, radiology IT vendors have operated in silos, forcing highly-skilled radiologists to spend more time wrestling with inefficient technologies than on improving patient care," he said when the company came out of stealth in 2021. Andrews became president in late 2024, and Ken Kaufman became chief executive in January 2025.

In May 2026 Sirona signed a five-year deal with Everlight Radiology, a teleradiology group of 800 radiologists, to replace its PACS and reporting systems in six countries. "Sirona was founded to accelerate the transition to AI-powered healthcare globally, and our partnership with Everlight has accelerated this mission by years," Andrews said.
