Smart Meter
Casey Pittock is chief executive of Smart Meter, a Tampa, Florida company that makes cellular-connected blood pressure cuffs and glucose meters for remote patient monitoring. Its devices send readings without Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or an app, so older patients can take a reading and have it reach their care team.

He founded TelCARE Systems and ran it as chief executive. Lifeline acquired the company, and Philips later acquired Lifeline. He also led sales at BAM Labs, which made the sensor technology inside smart beds, and served as chief executive of two other health technology start-ups.
Before Smart Meter he was president and chief executive of Tunstall Americas, the U.S. division of Tunstall Healthcare Group, which sells medical alarm and telecare systems.
He became Smart Meter's chief executive in 2021. In January 2026 it launched iGlucose Touch, a touchscreen glucose meter that sends each reading over a cellular network. "For many patients, a connected blood glucose meter remains the most practical, affordable, and accurate option," he said.
