Prevounce Health

Daniel Tashnek is co-founder and chief executive of Prevounce Health and a practicing healthcare attorney. Prevounce sells software, cellular devices, and care management staff so medical practices can run remote patient monitoring and chronic care management within Medicare billing rules.

Business

His law practice covers Medicare regulatory compliance, reimbursement, scope of practice, and patient care. That work shaped Prevounce, which he started with physicians, practice managers, and other healthcare attorneys who had watched practices give up on remote care programs because the rules and paperwork were too heavy for their staff.

Prevounce launched in Los Angeles in 2019 as software for monitoring patients' vital signs from home. When it began selling its own internet-connected blood pressure cuffs and scales, shipping them across the country from the West Coast stopped making sense. In October 2021 he moved the company to Indianapolis, Indiana, where it took office and warehouse space on Post Road. He told the Indianapolis Business Journal in 2022 that the move had been a "no-regrets" decision.

In 2022 the company raised $4.5 million from angel investors, its first outside money. In October 2023 it added $2.5 million in a round led by Cloud Hill Partners, which brought its Series A to $7 million.

Personal

He lives in Indianapolis. He said he had not known the city before the move and was surprised to find one or two very good restaurants of almost every cuisine.
