Karim Karti is chief executive of RapidAI, a company that makes imaging software for stroke and vascular disease. Hospitals use its Rapid platform to analyze brain and blood vessel scans and send results to the care team, so their doctors can decide on treatment faster.

Business

He started his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. He then spent 22 years at General Electric, beginning in business development and acquisitions for GE Healthcare Systems. He went on to run GE Healthcare Korea and GE Healthcare Growth Markets, served as chief marketing officer of GE Healthcare, and was president and chief executive of GE Healthcare Imaging, a $9 billion business.

After GE he was chief operating officer of iRhythm Technologies, a heart monitoring company, where RapidAI says he helped double revenue to $210 million while launching new AI products. He is also chairman of the board of MedTech Acquisition Corp.

RapidAI named him chief executive in January 2022. Greg Albers, the company's chairman and co-founder, said Karti had "a proven track record in driving commercial success, product expansion and global scale." Since then RapidAI has launched its Enterprise Platform and Navigator Pro for radiologists and Lumina 3D, which TIME named one of the best inventions of 2025.
