Patient engagement & telehealth · Biopharma patient services CRM
Courier Health
Courier Health is a New York City software company whose CRM helps drug manufacturers' patient services, market access, and field teams track each patient's path from prescription to the start of a specialty therapy, with hub, specialty pharmacy, copay, and field data in one record.
Strong fit
- Biopharma companies launching or running specialty therapies with patient support programs
- Patient services teams that want hub, specialty pharmacy, and copay data in one place
- Brands that want to measure time to therapy and how long patients stay on it
Weak fit
- Hospitals and physician practices looking for patient engagement tools
- Companies without patient services or market access programs
- Buyers who want published prices
Bottom line
Courier Health builds a CRM for drug manufacturers' patient services and market access teams. It suits biopharma companies that want one view of each patient's path to a specialty therapy, so fewer patients drop off between prescription and first dose. Providers and health plans are not its buyers.

Courier Health is bought by biopharma companies. Their patient services, market access, and field reimbursement teams use it to manage each patient's case from referral through insurance approval, specialty pharmacy fill, and refills. The problem is large: about 30% of specialty patients never start the therapy they are prescribed, and 70% stop within months, according to Courier figures cited by AlleyWatch.
Courier licenses its software to drug manufacturers and does not publish prices. It is a young, venture-backed vendor with an estimated $20 million in annual revenue, competing with general-purpose CRM systems that companies adapt for patient services. One market access leader quoted on its about page said there have been few tools built for that function. We do not review another patient services CRM yet. The closest companies we review work the provider side of drug access: Latent and Develop Health automate medication prior authorizations, and SamaCare handles specialty drug authorizations for practices.
Danny Sigurdson, a software sales and product executive, and Jimmy Pomponio, who had run patient services at biotech companies, founded Courier in 2020, PM360 reported in 2021. The company builds its software in New York City.
The platform has three parts: Patient Services for case managers, Field Access for reimbursement managers who work with prescribers' offices, and AI Intake for turning referral forms and faxes into cases. It combines data from hubs, specialty pharmacies, copay programs, and field teams so each team sees the same patient record, and Courier says customer data is never used to train any large language model.
Courier says customers see more than 40% faster time to therapy, more than 15% more patients starting therapy, and more than 10% better persistence at six months. In May 2026 it raised a $50 million Series B led by Oak HC/FT, bringing total funding to $70.5 million, and said the number of therapies on the platform quadrupled in 2025.

What people like
"From a tech standpoint, they [Courier Health] are incredibly groundbreaking and forward thinking. The event-driven philosophy that they have as the foundation of their solution is changing the game." Lauren Cole, Vice President, Patient Services, quoted on Courier Health's about page
"If I have the right technology system, I'm not thinking as much about process and process design. Courier has put that front and center." Andres Diaz, Head of Product Management & Portfolio (Technology), quoted on Courier Health's about page
What people don't like
"Getting our hub and specialty pharmacy data feeds mapped into Courier took real planning with each of those vendors before launch."
"There is no price on the website, so we had to go through several sales conversations before we could put it in the budget."
