ThoroughCare

Dan Godla is the founder of ThoroughCare, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania company that makes care coordination software. Medical practices use it to run annual wellness visits, chronic care management, and remote patient monitoring, so their care teams can keep care plans, call time, and billing in one system.

Education and early career

He is a Penn State alumnus and earned a bachelor's degree in information systems and a master's degree in management of technologies from California University of Pennsylvania. He then worked in system administration, as a database analyst and a business analyst, and as a technical director in a medical services department.

Business

Those jobs convinced him that clinics needed better software for patient assessments, and in July 2013 he founded ThoroughCare to offer an alternative to the traditional versions. In March 2014 Penn State's Office of Technology Development invited him to speak at its Entrepreneur's Roundtable in Hershey, Pennsylvania, about his decision to start a health care technology company.

ThoroughCare grew to serve about 700 care delivery organizations across the United States, with software for wellness visits, chronic care management, remote monitoring, and care plans. In February 2026 the company named Bradley Hill chief executive.
