ThoroughCare is care coordination software that helps practices run annual wellness visits, chronic care management, and remote patient monitoring, with care plans, time tracking, and billing reports.
Strong fit
- Primary care practices and clinics that run annual wellness visits, chronic care management, and remote monitoring with their own staff
- Care teams that want care plans, time tracking, and billing reports in one system
- Organizations moving into value-based contracts that need care coordination records
Weak fit
- Health systems that need post-discharge or hospital-at-home monitoring at large scale
- Organizations looking for a new EHR
- Buyers who need a published price list
Bottom line
ThoroughCare is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania company that makes care coordination software for annual wellness visits, chronic care management, remote patient monitoring, and other care management programs. Care teams use it to build care plans, track the minutes they spend with patients, and prepare billing. It covers more kinds of care management programs than most remote monitoring vendors, but it publishes less about patient outcomes, which holds the score down.

Dan Godla founded ThoroughCare in July 2013 to give clinics an alternative to traditional patient assessments. Before that he had worked in system administration, database analysis, and business analysis, and as a technical director in a medical services department. Its software covers annual wellness visits, chronic care management, remote patient monitoring, care plans, and billing reports, so a practice's care team can run several Medicare care management programs in one system.
ThoroughCare says about 700 care delivery organizations in the United States use its software. In February 2026 it named Bradley Hill chief executive and Sean O'Donnell chief growth officer. Hill said the company would build its software for organizations that take on financial risk for patient outcomes, with AI for patient engagement and population health.
