Co-founder and CEO

Parakeet Health

Jung Park is co-founder and chief executive of Parakeet Health, a San Francisco company that makes AI agents for patient calls, texts, faxes, and online scheduling. He spent more than 25 years running operations, data, and technology inside healthcare companies before Parakeet, and he sells its agents to large dermatology groups on a pay-for-results basis.

Epocrates and One Medical

He held leadership roles at Epocrates, the drug-reference app many doctors kept on their phones, and at One Medical, the membership-based primary care company. Both companies went public, so he has been through two IPOs. "One of the things that I learned when I worked at Epocrates was don't change the workflow," he told Healthcare Innovation, and Parakeet's agents work inside a practice's existing scheduling and records systems for that reason.

One Medical grew to more than 100 offices in more than 20 markets, and building its analytics function taught him that data only helps when teams agree on what each number means. Its business and technical teams could not agree on who counted as an active user, so leaders sometimes decided from whichever figure reached that week's slide deck. He came away convinced that an organization should settle shared definitions and owners for its key metrics before it builds dashboards.

Specialty practices and Parakeet

His later roles included chief information officer at a private equity-backed dermatology group and chief operating officer at a multi-site specialty practice, and he held a leadership role at California Skin Institute. Those jobs showed him the same problem in smaller organizations, with scheduling, records, billing, and patient-messaging systems each counting appointments a different way.

He co-founded Parakeet with Eric Mao and Aaron Lee to treat patient access as a profit-and-loss problem. Parakeet targets practices with phone teams of 10 or more people and charges by results such as appointments booked. Its client reports track a short list of measures defined the same way for every client: appointments booked, slots filled, cancellations recovered, and patients re-engaged. Parakeet raised a $3 million seed round in 2024 and a $10 million Series A in October 2026, both led by Canvas Ventures, after annual recurring revenue grew tenfold in a year. It works with six of the 10 largest U.S. dermatology groups.
