Aidéo Technologies makes the Gemini suite of medical coding software for revenue cycle management companies and provider billing teams. David Shelton has been chief executive since January 2023. In August 2025 HandsOn Global Management, a listed Indian company, agreed to buy all of Aidéo.
Gemini AutoCode reads clinical records and dictated reports and assigns CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes, E/M levels and modifiers, checking local coverage and NCCI rules. Simple charts can go straight to billing, and the rest go to coders with suggested codes filled in. Aidéo says it can process up to 12 encounters a second.
The Gemini Coder Platform puts all clients in one workspace, so a revenue cycle company can balance work across coders and track each coder's output. AAPC's official E/M calculator is built in under a licensing deal, and Aidéo also supplies its own coders to cover gaps.
Aidéo focuses on specialties such as radiology, anesthesia, emergency medicine and surgery centers. One radiology billing customer praises its ability to add client-specific coding rules, and an RCM firm serving more than 1,000 surgery centers uses it.
Aidéo publishes few outcome figures and is small next to other coding AI vendors. Its 2025 sale to HandsOn Global Management means buyers should ask about product plans and support under the new owner.
Fathom fits physician groups and health systems that want high rates of fully automated coding. Nym fits hospitals that want automated emergency and outpatient coding, and XpertDox fits specialty practices that want autonomous coding.
