Bottom line

b.well Connected Health is a consumer health data platform that health plans, health systems, and app makers build their own member and patient apps on. It suits organizations that want each person's records, claims, and device data gathered, cleaned into one standard format, and turned into reminders and programs. Organizations that need record exchange between clinicians should look at clinical data networks.

b.well Connected Health is bought by health plans, health systems, self-insured employers, and consumer technology companies. They use it to run branded apps and web portals where members and patients see their records, refill prescriptions, find care, and close preventive care gaps, and to give people a way to share their records with other apps. Customers mentioned in coverage and company announcements include WellSense Health Plan, MedStar Health, Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Samsung, and Google.

b.well sells software subscriptions and does not publish prices. It is a mid-sized, venture-backed company with an estimated $30 million in annual revenue, and its revenue doubled in 2025, The Business Journals reported. Among companies we review, Particle Health and Health Gorilla run clinical data networks used mostly by providers and digital health companies, while 1upHealth and Onyx sell FHIR platforms that help health plans meet federal interoperability rules.

Kristen Valdes founded b.well in 2015 after a seven-year search for a diagnosis for her daughter, Bailey, who nearly died from a medication that one of her doctors did not know she should not take, MedCity News reported. Valdes had worked at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and UnitedHealthcare, and the company takes its name from her daughter.

The platform connects to more than 2.4 million providers, 330 payer organizations, and 350 personal health devices, according to b.well's June 2026 WellSense announcement. It cleans that data into the FHIR standard so customers can build on it, and it ships more than 100 health programs and digitized HEDIS quality measures. A March 2026 Healthcare Markets & Technology analysis describes a white-label AI assistant and developer kits, along with partnerships with Google, Samsung, athenahealth, and OpenAI.

In July 2026 b.well said its CMS Aligned Network went live, letting patients share their records by QR code or SMART Health Link with Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Google, Samsung, Welldoc, and Noom. WellSense uses b.well for a new app serving its 700,000 members.
