Oshi Health
Oshi Health is a virtual gastroenterology clinic where GI providers, registered dietitians, and gut-brain specialists treat adults with conditions such as IBS, acid reflux, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis by video, billed to the patient's health plan.
Strong fit
- Adults with IBS, reflux, bloating, or IBD who want diet and gut-brain support alongside medical care
- Insured patients facing a weeks-long wait for a local gastroenterologist who want a visit as soon as tomorrow
- Employers and health plans looking for a GI program with published cost results
Weak fit
- Medicare and Medicaid patients, whose plans Oshi does not accept
- Patients who need a colonoscopy, endoscopy, or other procedure
- Anyone who wants a firm price before agreeing to a year-long care plan
Bottom line
Oshi Health is a virtual GI clinic that pairs a medical provider with a dietitian and a gut-brain specialist for adults with digestive conditions. It suits insured adults with IBS, reflux, or IBD who want structured, ongoing care from home. Patients should confirm with their plan what Oshi's annual care program will cost before the first visit.

Oshi Health is used by adults with digestive problems that a primary care doctor has not resolved, from bloating and acid reflux to irritable bowel syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis. Each patient gets a GI provider who leads the diagnosis and treatment plan, a registered dietitian, and a gut-brain specialist who works on the stress and anxiety that can make symptoms worse. Visits are by video, and Oshi says patients can be seen as soon as the next day. Care is open to adults 18 and older in all 50 states, and Oshi says more than 53,000 patients have used it.
On price, Oshi is a mid-market option for insured patients. With in-network coverage, most patients get a year of unlimited care and pay copays or deductibles for four specialist visits, according to its pricing page. Patients without in-network coverage pay $150 per visit. That is less upfront hassle than booking a gastroenterologist, a dietitian, and a therapist separately, but patients with high deductibles can owe several hundred dollars early in the year.
The closest competitors are digital GI programs such as Cylinder Health and Ayble Health, which employers and health plans also buy, and local gastroenterology practices, which handle the procedures Oshi refers out. Oshi positions itself as a partner to those practices: it handles diet, behavior, and follow-up, and sends patients to an in-person specialist when they need a scope or infusion.
Chief executive Sam Holliday co-founded Oshi after watching his mother manage IBS on her own and end up in the emergency room during a stress-triggered flare, a story the company tells on its About page. Dr. Sameer Berry is chief medical officer.
Oshi's case to health plans rests on outcome data. Its 2025 Impact Report, released February 26, 2026, says 97% of patients reached symptom control and that a matched claims analysis found $6,081 in annual medical savings per member, including a 68% drop in GI-related emergency visits. Those are company-published figures. In October 2024 Oshi raised a $60 million Series C led by Oak HC/FT, bringing total funding to $119.5 million, and Holliday told Fierce Healthcare he expected the company to turn profitable in 2027. Oshi does not publish revenue; its annual revenue is an estimated $35 million.
Billing is the main source of complaints. Several Trustpilot reviewers say they were surprised by bills for an annual care program after only a few short calls, and others say claims took weeks to settle with their insurer. Some patients also dislike that messages go through a care coordinator before reaching their provider.
What patients say
Patients on Trustpilot rate Oshi Health 2.1 from 14 reviews, and most of the low scores concern billing. Here is what they like and dislike.
"My experience with Oshi health has been truly wonderful. They have gone above and beyond to try to help me. The physician I see is so kind and encouraging." Trustpilot
"The service was convenient and my doctor was relatively well informed. My issue was with the billing department." Trustpilot
"The bill turned out to be over $400 for some time of program that they never told me I was enrolled in - let alone that it came with an out of pocket cost of $140/mo." Trustpilot
"My biggest issue is that you cannot message your providers directly and everything is filtered through a care coordinator. Responses take way too long." Trustpilot
