Bottom line

Ritten is a reasonable choice for addiction and mental health treatment programs that want one system for admissions, charting, billing and AI note tools across levels of care. It suits growing multi-site programs. Buyers should get a full quote and talk to programs of their size, since Ritten started in 2020.

Noah Whitehead and Gabe Szczepanek founded Ritten in Philadelphia in 2020. Whitehead is chief executive and Szczepanek is chief technology officer.

Ritten combines an EHR, a CRM for admissions and a billing system for behavioral health. It covers detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs, with group notes, a scheduler for individual and group sessions, utilization review and treatment plans.

Its billing tool, which Ritten calls Claimification, builds claims from the services documented each day and handles both per diem and fee-for-service billing. Ritten also has an AI Scribe, an AI Form Reviewer that checks forms for missing items, and note summaries.

Ritten supports 42 CFR Part 2, the federal rule that adds privacy limits to addiction treatment records, with role-based access, audit logs and restricted charts. It is web-based, so there are no servers to run.

Ritten raised a $35 million Series B led by Five Elms Capital in December 2025, with 8VC and others investing. It is younger than many rivals, so buyers should check references closely.

Kipu Health fits addiction treatment programs that want a widely used EHR in this market. BestNotes fits mixed behavioral health programs, and Alleva and Sunwave fit treatment centers that want EHR and CRM tools from other vendors.
