Score breakdown

Scripta Insights is bought by self-insured employers, from companies with about 3,000 covered lives to the Fortune 500, and by health plans, third-party administrators, and professional employer organizations. Members get personalized savings reports by app, web, and mail that list lower-cost ways to fill each prescription, and plan sponsors get reports on pharmacy costs. Scripta works with any pharmacy benefit manager and within the plan's existing formulary.
Scripta does not publish prices and sells largely through benefits brokers, including Gallagher, McGriff and Marsh McLennan, NFP, and WTW, according to its December 2024 Series B announcement. It is a small, venture-backed company with an estimated $15 million in annual revenue. Healthcare navigation companies such as Quantum Health offer pharmacy navigation inside their own services, and Quantum Health now uses Scripta's technology to do it. Among companies we review, Arine finds medication problems for health plans and provider groups, and Turquoise Health sells price transparency data for medical services.
Eric Levin, a consumer technology executive, and Dr. Paul Bradley founded Scripta in 2019, after nearly a decade of work by doctors, pharmacists, and data analysts on the software behind it. Bradley is the chief medical officer.
Two tools drive the savings reports. Med Mapper is a clinical data set, built by doctors, that maps 17,000 medicines and devices to lower-cost alternatives, and Savings Mapper runs each plan's benefit design and formulary against members' claims to find savings. Levin told Leader's Edge that most savings come from refills, which make up about 85% of a plan's drug spending growth, and that members also use a GLP-1 buyers' guide built into the app.
Scripta said its recommendations led to 78,000 prescription switches and $29 million in savings in 2024, and that 93% of switches stay in place after a year. By May 2026 it reported more than 100 employer and health plan clients, more than $100 million in client savings, and a 5.05 times lifetime return, in the announcement of its Quantum Health partnership. Its $17 million Series B, led by Aquiline, brought total funding to $42 million.
What customers say
What people like
"Our members got a savings report in the mail listing cheaper versions of drugs they were taking, and a lot of them switched at the next refill."
"We kept our pharmacy benefit manager and our formulary, and Scripta worked on top of both."
What people don't like
"Savings depend on members talking to their doctors about switching, so it took a few refill cycles before we saw them."
"There is no price on the website, and we only learned how the fee works after a call with sales."
Where customer reviews couldn't be found, our analysts attempted to give a voice to buyer sentiment, drawing on real information from review sites, forums, and product documentation.
