Cameron Andrews founded Sirona in 2018. He grew up around private practice radiologists, studied biology and computer science at Stanford, and worked at the venture firm Lux Capital before starting the company. Sirona spent five years building with design partner practices and launched RadOS publicly in November 2023. RadOS combines the worklist, diagnostic viewer, reporting, PACS archive, and AI, including AI that drafts the impression section of a report. In 2022 it bought the AI business of Nines, including two FDA-cleared tools, and in October 2025 it received FDA 510(k) clearance for an Advanced Imaging Suite that adds PET-CT support.

Sirona raised a $22.5 million Series A led by 8VC, a $40 million Series B, and a $45 million Series C in November 2024 led by Avidity Partners. Ken Kaufman, who spent a decade at McKesson leading PACS sales and co-founded the population health company PureWellness, became chief executive in January 2025. Andrews is president. In May 2026 Everlight Radiology signed a five-year deal to put its 800 radiologists on RadOS, replacing its PACS and reporting systems in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and South Africa.

Compare New Lantern when a growing independent group wants a newer cloud platform with AI report drafting, Rad AI when a practice wants to keep its current PACS and add AI reporting, and RADPAIR when radiologists want a low-cost way to try generative AI reporting first.
