Heidi Health vs Lyrebird Health
Updated October 23, 2026
Ambient scribes are now cheap enough to try before any contract, so many clinicians pick one by testing it in real consultations instead of running a formal evaluation. Heidi Health and Lyrebird Health both offer a free plan and paid tiers for individual clinicians, but they come from different home markets: Heidi sells across five English-speaking countries and supports many languages, while Lyrebird is strongest with Australian GPs and NHS trusts whose record systems it writes notes into. Where you practice and which record system holds your notes will matter more than small differences in note style.
Our analysts compared Heidi Health and Lyrebird Health on price, free plans, home markets, record system fit, and setup, using the HIR review of each company and each vendor's pricing page checked today. In the following sections, we compare them in one table, describe the clinician each one suits, and note what Heidi released this autumn.

Heidi Health scores slightly higher and fits clinicians in North America, the UK, and Australia who want a generous free plan and letters drafted alongside the note. Lyrebird fits Australian general practice and NHS trusts on the record systems it writes back to.
Neither has a deep record with large Epic health systems, so those buyers should ask each vendor for Epic references first.
What Heidi Health released in September 2026
Heidi Health: Heidi announced Heidi II on September 28, 2026, adding agents that carry out visit admin such as pre-charting, referrals, and arranging follow-ups, with the clinician approving the result. The release also added Memory, which keeps each clinician's preferences, and answers drawn from peer-reviewed research.
