Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer

Azalea Health

Baha Zeidan is co-founder and chief strategy officer of Azalea Health, which he led as chief executive for 18 years. Azalea is a cloud electronic health record and billing system for rural hospitals and small practices, so its clients can chart a visit and send a claim from the browser.

Graduating from Valdosta State

He graduated from Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, Georgia, which later gave him its GOLD Alumni Award. Before Azalea he worked in a medical laboratory.

Founding Azalea with Douglas Swords

In 2008 he and Douglas Swords started the company in Valdosta. The company also sells Azalea Healthcare Analytics, which reports on day-to-day care and billing. The company is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Swords, the other co-founder, runs its billing service.

By the company's count, Azalea now serves more than 7,000 providers and 22 million patients in rural and community settings.

Handing the CEO Role to Arman Samani

In October 2026 Azalea appointed Arman Samani, a former president of Net Health's Therapy Division and former chief operating officer of AdvancedMD, as chief executive. Zeidan moved to chief strategy officer, a role in which he leads mergers and acquisitions and the company's key client and partner relationships, and he remains on the board of directors. "Arman brings a depth of healthcare technology experience and a strong understanding of the challenges our clients face," Zeidan said in the announcement.
