Co-founder and CEO

BioIntelliSense

Wang is trying to make continuous, medical-grade vital-sign monitoring affordable enough that hospitals can put it on every general-care patient.

Wearables Before BioIntelliSense

David Wang is co-founder and chief executive of BioIntelliSense, a Golden, Colorado, company that makes the BioButton wearable and BioDashboard monitoring software. He has about twenty years of product and hardware experience.

Before BioIntelliSense he co-founded STRIIV, where he built multiple generations of biometric wearables and shipped millions of devices. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley and dual master's degrees in electrical engineering and management science and engineering from Stanford, and he is listed as an inventor on more than fifteen patents in sensors and edge processing.

Leading BioIntelliSense

Wang co-founded BioIntelliSense in 2019 with James Mault, MD, who now serves as executive chairman. The company's leadership page lists Wang as CEO. Under the current team the company won FDA clearance for a rechargeable multi-patient BioButton and BioDashboard in 2024 and raised a Series C of about $58 million in December 2025 to scale hospital and home monitoring.

His focus is the product and manufacturing path that lets a single wearable design serve inpatient multi-patient use and home RPM without forcing nurses into constant alert noise.
