Derek Lo is founder and chief executive of Medallion. Medallion's software handles licensing, credentialing, payer enrollment, and monitoring, so a clinic can get its clinicians credentialed and able to bill.
Early life
At Yale, in New Haven, Connecticut, he taught himself to code and built iPhone apps, often at night in the library. One of those apps became a startup. He took it through Y Combinator and later sold it, before he turned 26.
Business
In 2020 he founded Medallion. The company says it now has more than 250 customers and more than 175 people. Forbes named him to its 30 Under 30 list.
