President and CEO
Reveleer
Jay Ackerman is the president and chief executive of Reveleer, a value-based care software company in Glendale, California, that helps health plans and provider groups with risk adjustment and quality programs. He has led it for about ten years, after a career in technology sales and services.
From Auditing to ServiceSource
Ackerman earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Connecticut College and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business, according to his Reveleer biography. He started out as an auditor and then worked as a management consultant on projects for Union Carbide and Sears, he told Authority Magazine in 2023.
He spent more than eight years at ServiceSource and rose to worldwide head of sales and customer success. He later worked at WNS and served as chief revenue officer of Guidance Software.
Joining Health Data Vision
Ackerman joined the company in 2016, when it was called Health Data Vision, he said on a May 2026 THL podcast. It has since made four acquisitions and grown to about 450 people. Revenue doubled from $25 million in 2022 to $51 million in 2023, he told Founderpath, as the company moved to pricing per member per month.
On the podcast he explained why the business exists: "Reveleer exists and Reveleer thrives in a market because of the complexity of our healthcare system." He described the company's AI as a hybrid that pairs Google's Gemini with a rules engine of more than 1,500 clinical rules, because customers expect suggestions to be right at least 85% of the time.
A Family Connection to Medicare Advantage
Ackerman has said his interest in the work is personal. His mother was a Medicare Advantage member who used the emergency room as her primary care, he said on the THL podcast. His father was a two-time entrepreneur whose business was bought by private equity.
Life in Los Angeles
Ackerman lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and two sons, and spent ten years on the board of trustees of Lawrence Academy, a school in Massachusetts. Asked by Authority Magazine for his favorite life lesson, he answered, "The problem is never as bad as it initially appears."
