Co-founder
DrChrono
Michael Nusimow co-founded DrChrono in New York City in 2009 and was its chief executive through EverCommerce's purchase of the company in 2021. DrChrono makes electronic health records, scheduling, and billing software for independent practices, so physicians can chart a visit on an iPad during the exam.
Early life
He earned a bachelor of engineering in computer engineering and computer science from Stony Brook University.
Business
He and Daniel Kivatinos spent time in the Rose Tech Ventures incubator, then moved the company to Silicon Valley for Y Combinator. In February 2011 DrChrono launched an electronic health record app for the iPad. In June 2011 Infogard Laboratories certified that iPad record for meaningful use, a federal program that paid physician practices for using a certified electronic record.
In August 2012 the company released OnPatient, a phone app for check-in. Patients fill it out, and their answers go into the DrChrono record before the visit.
