Mike Dixon is a managing partner at Transformation Capital, a growth equity firm that invests only in digital health. He was earlier a general partner at Sequoia Capital, where he helped lead investments in Health Catalyst, Clover Health, and MedExpress.
Health Care Investing at Sequoia Capital
At Sequoia, Dixon helped lead investments in Health Catalyst, Clover Health, MedExpress, Implantable Provider Group, StemCentrx, Trialspark, and Cortexyme, among others, according to the announcement of his move to Transformation Capital.
Joining Transformation Capital
He joined Transformation Capital as its third managing partner. The firm was formed by the principals of Leerink Transformation Partners, whose first fund, launched in 2016, backed digital health companies including Health Catalyst, PatientPing, and LetsGetChecked. “Entrepreneurs are increasingly demanding real digital health industry focus from their investor partners,” Dixon said at the time. His firm biography says his interest in health care investing comes from the gap between the dedicated people who work in health care and the system's frustrating problems.
Leading Abby Care's Series C
In October 2026 Transformation Capital led the $82 million Series C of Abby Care, which pays family members to care for relatives on Medicaid. “We believe Abby Care has the opportunity to build the infrastructure that makes family caregiving a standard option for at-home care across the country,” Dixon said.
