Founder and CEO

Nest Health

Gee is trying to remove the transportation, childcare, and time-off barriers that keep Medicaid parents and children from getting recommended care.

Thirteen Letters

Rebekah Gee is an obstetrician-gynecologist and the founder and chief executive of Nest Health, which brings medical, behavioral, and social care to Medicaid families at home in Louisiana and Arizona. When she was a teenager her mother died of breast cancer and left her thirteen letters, one for each birthday until age 30, a story Nest recounts on its about page.

Those letters, she has said, pushed her toward medicine with an ethical focus. She became an OB-GYN, a mother of five, and Louisiana's secretary of health from 2016 to 2020, where she worked on Medicaid expansion and public health programs.

Founding Nest

Gee founded Nest in New Orleans in 2021 after seeing how Medicaid families missed care because every visit demanded time off, childcare, and a ride. "I founded Nest to improve healthcare and health outcomes for parents and children," she writes on her Nest profile. "Nest brings healthcare to the home and gives a family an Advocate who can help them navigate their journey to good health."

Under her leadership Nest raised seed funding, expanded into Arizona, and in November 2025 closed a $22.5 million Series A. She appeared on Inc.'s Female Founders 500 list with co-founder Rebecca Kavoussi in 2025.
