Trella Health

Scott Tapp is president and chief executive of Trella Health. Trella sells performance data on post-acute care so its clients can see which providers take which patients and how those providers perform.

Early life

He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of the University of Georgia. Before Trella he spent more than twenty years building technology companies, after starting in investment banking and venture capital.

Business

He joined Trella in 2020. Ian Juliano had founded the company in 2015. Trella's data covers quality, performance, and cost, and the company also puts that data into the referral work its clients do when they choose where a patient goes after a hospital stay. He says, "If we can advance innovation in the healthcare market by providing critical insights and analytics to everyone, we can drive significant positive change in a very complex market."

Personal

After his father's open-heart surgery, gaps in care after discharge led to emergency visits and readmissions.

Outside work he sails, kitesurfs, and fishes, and he has finished an Ironman.
