Cylera

Timur Ozekcin is co-founder and chief executive of Cylera. Cylera makes software that lists the connected medical devices on a hospital network, flags devices that are vulnerable, and helps that hospital's security team respond without putting an agent on the devices.

Early life

He holds a bachelor of science in biological engineering and a master's in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, and a master's in public health focused on healthcare policy from Columbia University, in New York City.

Business

Before Cylera he co-founded Heuristics Health, a medical-device company, and worked with a Department of Homeland Security-funded nonprofit on the safety of medical devices in hospitals.

In 2017 he started Cylera in New York with Paul Bakoyiannis and Sean Abraham.
