From Kashya to Dell EMC

Yair Heller is chief executive of Ibex Medical Analytics, a pathology AI company with offices in Tel Aviv and Boston. Before Ibex he founded Kashya, a data-protection software company that EMC acquired in 2006, and later served as a vice president at Dell EMC. He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He joined Ibex as chief operating officer in January 2021 and spent five years scaling operations before becoming CEO.

CEO at Ibex

In February 2026 Ibex appointed Heller CEO, with co-founder Joseph Mossel shifting to US clinical growth and biopharma. "Ibex has been built on a strong foundation and is entering 2026 with tremendous momentum and a clear path to scaling our platform globally," Heller said in the release.

He inherits a platform the company says doubled case volume for a second year, grew customers by more than 70%, and expanded live applications more than threefold, including deployments with PathGroup and HNL Lab Medicine in the US.
