Recommend Scored Sep 2026 · Reviewed Sep 2026

Strong fit

  • Health systems aligning digital strategy with executable delivery plans
  • CIOs who need vendor-neutral program leadership across EHR and ancillary
  • Boards that want roadmap clarity before a multi-year capital spend

Weak fit

  • Buyers who only need staff augmentation for a single module install
  • Organizations that already have a strong internal PMO and just need hands
  • Projects where the product vendor's PS team is clearly sufficient

Bottom line

Impact Advisors is a Recommend for strategy-through-delivery healthcare programs where neutrality and program design matter. Outcomes depend on how tightly recommendations convert into staffed workstreams; service quality is strong in advisory, more variable in pure staff-aug. Engagement clarity is decent for the category. Score sits below Tegria on delivery intensity, ahead of vague Big Four decks.

Score Analysis

  • Program delivery. Roadmaps that survive contact with IT capacity are rare. We couldn't push higher because delivery still depends on which principals stay on the account after the sale.
  • Change management. Clinical adoption work is often the missing third of an EHR program. We held this when change management is sold as an add-on rather than baked into the critical path.
  • Specialty bench. Depth across RCM, ambulatory, and inpatient varies. Ask for named bios on your workstreams before signature.
  • Engagement clarity. Advisory retainers and delivery SOWs can blur. Separate strategy fees from implementation burn in the contract.

Pricing Consulting fees — often phased across assessment, design, and delivery. Cap advisory hours separately from implementation. Require a RACI and exit criteria so ongoing advisory doesn't become permanent rent.
