Lucia Huang and Jimmy Qian founded Osmind in 2020 out of Y Combinator to serve psychiatry practices that general EHRs fit poorly. Huang, the CEO, worked in operations at Verge Genomics and in finance at Warburg Pincus. Osmind is a public benefit corporation.

The EHR is built for interventional psychiatry, with workflows for Spravato, TMS, and ketamine next to regular medication management. It adds measurement-based care, charting templates, and compliance automations. Billing, patient payments, and prior authorization sit in the same system.

Osmind sells three levels of service. Osmind One is the EHR alone, and Osmind Care Network lets practices new to insurance bill under Osmind's own payer contracts. Osmind 360 is an all-inclusive billing service for practices with large insurance volume, which Osmind puts at about 500 visits a month.

Osmind says more than 1,000 practices use it, and members can buy Spravato through its group purchasing program. DFJ Growth led its $40 million Series B in 2022.

Setup takes one to three weeks for Osmind One and six to eight weeks for the full-service plans once clinicians are credentialed. Allow four to six months in total if credentialing starts from scratch.

Valant or ICANotes fit when a broader outpatient mental health practice wants a long-standing behavioral health EHR. Upheal or Blueprint fit therapists who mainly want AI notes.

Kipu Health, Sunwave, or Alleva fit addiction treatment centers with residential and detox levels of care.
