Youlify

Recommend Scored Nov 2026

Youlify is a physician-founded AI revenue cycle company that automates coding, claims submission, denial appeals, and payment recovery for independent practices and multi-specialty groups.

youlify.ai

Strong fit

  • Independent physician practices that write off a large share of denied claims
  • Groups that want AI billing with a shared-revenue model instead of a large billing staff
  • Specialties where denial chase work is heavy and undercoding is common

Weak fit

  • Health systems that already run a large in-house RCM organization
  • Buyers that require a public rate card before speaking with sales
  • Practices that want only patient billing software with no claims automation

Bottom line

Youlify replaces manual billing work with AI agents for coding, claims, and denial recovery, and its founders say early customers have seen higher revenue capture and fewer abandoned denials. It raised a $4.3 million seed round in April 2025 and says it is profitable on a shared-revenue model. Published list prices are not available, and independent clinician reviews are still thin.

Youlify's buyers are independent physician practices and multi-specialty groups in the US. Billing and practice leaders use it to generate claims, fix documentation and coding issues, pursue denials, and collect patient responsibility. The company offers both an RCM software platform and full-service billing powered by that platform, according to its website.

Pricing follows a shared-revenue model instead of a fixed software seat fee, according to an Axios Pro report in which CEO Bo Gu said the company is profitable. Among companies we review, AKASA, Fathom, Nym, and Enter also sell AI or automation for coding and claims. Youlify is aimed at practices that want end-to-end billing automation instead of a single coding module.

Dr. Bo Gu, a former cardiothoracic surgeon and emergency physician, co-founded Youlify with Sally Liang and Howard Peng and is CEO, according to the company's seed announcement and founder bio. Gu has said that as a physician leader during COVID his department lost about 40% of its revenue because billing broke down. Bonfire Ventures led the $4.3 million seed round in April 2025.

The seed release said early customers reported up to 21% higher revenue and about a 90% reduction in denials, and that onboarding can take under a week. Bonfire's investment note said Youlify gets paid on baseline collections and on the additional revenue it recovers. Youlify has an estimated $6 million in annual revenue.

Independent review sites have little coverage of Youlify so far. Published customer comments come mainly from the company's own materials, where surgeons describe higher billing revenue and less back-office work.
