Clinical systems · Virtual patient observation and virtual nursing
Collette Health
Collette Health, formerly MedSitter, is an Indiana company whose camera carts and software let remote observers and nurses watch and support hospital patients, with optional observer staffing.
Strong fit
- Hospitals that want to replace bedside sitters with remote observers watching many rooms
- Systems that want virtual sitting and virtual nursing on one set of hardware and software
- Hospitals short on observers that want to rent trained staff on short notice
Weak fit
- Clinics and outpatient sites without inpatient beds
- Hospitals that want AI-only monitoring with no human observers
- Buyers who need a posted price
Bottom line
Collette Health is a strong choice for hospitals that want virtual sitting to cut falls and sitter costs, then grow into virtual nursing on the same platform. Two straight Best in KLAS awards back up its service. Buyers should get a full quote that includes carts, software and any observer staffing.
Score breakdown
Weights: Outcomes 35% · Product 30% · Implementation 20% · Pricing clarity 15%.
Tracy Mills founded the company as MedSitter in 2017, growing it out of Interactive Digital Solutions, a video company he had built over 20 years. It took the name Collette Health in 2023 and is based in Noblesville, Indiana. Holly Miller became chief executive in September 2024, and Mills is executive chairman.
Collette started with virtual sitting. A camera cart goes into the room of a patient at risk of falling or pulling out lines, and one remote observer watches several patients at once, talking to them through the cart and calling the nurse when needed. Prerecorded messages cover dozens of languages, and family members can join the video.
The platform now covers virtual nursing too, with remote nurses handling admissions, discharges, education and documentation through the same hardware and software. +Staff gives hospitals trained Collette observers with as little as 24 hours' notice, and a 2026 partnership with VirtuAlly adds experienced virtual nurses.
Collette was named Best in KLAS for virtual sitting and nursing in 2025 and 2026, with a score of 91.5 in 2026. It works with more than 185 hospitals. Prime Healthcare is expanding it after Paradise Valley Hospital cut falls on its medical-surgical units by 84%.
Collette does not post prices, and the total depends on carts, rooms and staffing choices. Hospitals should compare a full multi-year quote against what they spend on bedside sitters today.
Caregility fits health systems that want a broad virtual care platform for many inpatient uses. Artisight fits hospitals that want smart-room cameras and sensors with virtual nursing.
