Strong fit

  • Hospitals that want rapid EEG with full head coverage and video in the ICU or ER
  • Neurology practices that cannot hire enough EEG technologists for routine outpatient studies
  • Hospitals that want devices and remote technologist monitoring from one channel through Stratus

Weak fit

  • Hospitals that want the most widely used rapid EEG system with the longest published track record
  • Teams that want delirium monitoring in the same device today
  • Buyers who want to purchase Zeto ONE directly from Zeto for hospital use

Bottom line

Zeto makes EEG headsets that bedside staff can apply quickly while still covering the full head, with video and remote review through its cloud platform. It is a reasonable choice for hospitals and neurology practices short on EEG technologists that want full-montage recordings, and the Stratus partnership adds 24-hour technologist oversight. It is smaller and less proven in the market than Ceribell.

Zeto is used by hospitals, neurology practices, and researchers who need an EEG faster than a technologist can glue on individual electrodes. Its headsets use soft-tip electrodes placed on the standard 10-20 layout, so the recording covers the whole head, and the systems record synchronized video. Zeto ONE is built for ICUs, emergency departments, and patient transport, and Zeto New Wave, cleared by the FDA in April 2026, is built for routine outpatient EEGs of up to 2.5 hours. Both run on the Zeto Cloud platform for remote access, with AI seizure detection and seizure burden tools.

The closest competitor is Ceribell, whose headband uses a reduced set of electrodes and which reports 747 hospital accounts. Zeto's case against it is full-montage coverage with video at the bedside, which matters when a neurologist needs to see where activity starts. Other alternatives are conventional EEG systems from companies such as Natus and Nihon Kohden, run by technologists. On price, Zeto sells hospital and clinic systems through a sales process, and since October 2026 hospitals get Zeto ONE through Stratus, a national EEG services company, as part of a package with remote technologist monitoring.

The Stratus partnership is the biggest change for buyers. Stratus is now the exclusive channel distributor of Zeto ONE in hospitals, and its registered EEG technologists provide round-the-clock remote monitoring and review. Zeto and Stratus had already launched NeuroNotis, a report that pairs Zeto ONE's AI seizure burden detection with technologist validation.

Aswin Gunasekar founded Zeto, and Florian Strelzyk, PhD, a longtime EEG sales executive, is now CEO. Zeto raised a $31 million Series B led by MindWorks Global in January 2025, when it was based in Santa Clara, California; its address is now in Raleigh. It does not publish revenue. Its revenue is an estimated $10 million a year, based on its funding stage, three FDA-cleared devices on sale, and the size of the rapid EEG market led by Ceribell.

What clinicians and buyers say

What people like

"We get the full 10-20 montage and video at the bedside, so our neurologists can see where the activity starts, not just that something is happening."

"Our outpatient clinic can run routine EEGs without waiting on a technologist to glue every electrode."

What people don't like

"For the hospital headset we now have to go through Stratus, which is fine if you want their monitoring but adds a party to the contract."

"The AI seizure scores are useful, but our neurologists still want to know how reliable they are before they trust them."
